Pavlyuchenko faces uncertain future

The agent of Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko looks to be trying to incite a bidding war for his client.

The future for Pavlyuchenko at White Hart Lane looks bleak and it seems nailed on that the striker will be moving on in January or, failing that, in the summer at least.

A deal was said to be struck between the player and Lokomotiv Moscow with only a transfer fee between the two sides needing to be sorted. However his agent, Oleg Artemov, claims that there is no deal in place and that he is talking to other clubs on behalf of his client.

“Roman has one-and-a-half years left on his contract with Tottenham,” Artemov told Sport Express. “And who found out that it’s Lokomotiv that has agreed anything with him?”

“He hasn’t signed anything. There are more offers. We are learning, analysing and talking about them.”

Newcastle and Queens Park Rangers are said to be monitoring the situation with the 29-year-old and are weighing up whether or not to try and lure the Russian to their respective clubs.
